The Millennium Monument Museum of Digital Arts (CMODA) in Beijing launched in December 2011. As China’s first comprehensive art centre specializing in digital arts, CMODA’s remit was to build an interactive, experiential and integrated platform for exhibitions, educational exchange, art, design and technological development, and creative start-up incubation.
To open the debut season of programs with maximum impact, CMODA invited onedotzero to present a scintillating selection of installations, screening programmes and live audio-visual performance. Full details about the exhibition can be found here.
onedotzero collaborated with CMODA to tailor the onedotzero_cascade programme for 60 of Beijing’s top young creatives. Working with local universities and companies, participants included design students, young creatives and industry practitioners.
onedotzero teamed up with Kin Design to lead three days of workshops exploring the idea of collaboration. Working in small multidisciplinary teams, the emphasis was on drawing inspiration, gaining new perspectives and learning new skills and design languages to successfully form and champion a single and strong idea.
International artists Lab212, Field and Antivj, who featured in the av@ar exhibition, also delivered inspiring presentations, showcasing their practice and working with the student groups to develop their ideas.
